Reserving your best content for guest blogging is absolutely a very good technique and is one that I have always used. In doing this, I have been able to push my writing to a higher level of quality this way. I realize that if I can write quality content for guest posts on other blogs, then I can step up the quality at home too

I guess there is always an exception. This can especially be allowed since the guest blogger is providing a tremendous amount of value and contribution through their posts. Its good that you connect on LinkedIn, a little background info doesn’t hurt

You got the point Robb. I love guest posting but since I still consider myself as newbie (sometime novice) I usually target those related blogs having a near level in my current capabilities.

Guest Blogging is also a great link building strategy but if you overdo it, it really hurts your reputation as you only think of your own.

Most of the time, I used to do comment and email contact to those people and blogs I want to target for guest posting to build a good connection with them.

I think it may be because of the niche that you blog for. I don’t see many real estate bloggers who post frequently. I assume that its the line of work and they may not have realized the true value of networking and prospecting through blogs. You are the most active real estate blogger I’ve seen so far
